Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy describes the rules for canceling reservations, changing dates, and exceptional situations in stays managed by Casamarinn (a brand operated by Tabosa Consultoria LTDA — Brazilian CNPJ 48.278.140/0001-52).

1. Standard cancellation

The standard policy applied to direct bookings on our website:

The specific policy for your booking is confirmed in the confirmation email. Some units, high-season periods (New Year's Eve, Carnival, July) or promotional packages may have their own rules — always disclosed before payment.

2. Force majeure cancellation

In situations beyond the guest's and Casamarinn's control — natural disasters, government decisions, pandemics, flight cancellation due to serious reason, close family death with proof — we review case by case.

We typically offer one of three alternatives:

  1. Full refund of 100% of the amount paid
  2. Equivalent alternative apartment on nearby dates (same region, capacity, and standard)
  3. Travel credit with 10% bonus, valid for 12 months for a new reservation at no additional cost

The choice is the guest's.

3. Date changes (without cancellation)

Date changes are accepted up to 7 days before check-in, with no penalty, subject to unit availability.

  • If the new dates have a higher rate, the difference is charged
  • If they have a lower rate, we generate credit for the difference for future use (12-month validity)

4. Property unavailability (on our side)

If, due to circumstances beyond Casamarinn's control, the booked property becomes unavailable, the guest may choose between:

  • Full refund of 100%
  • Equivalent alternative apartment (same region, capacity, and standard)
  • Credit with 10% bonus for future use

Cancellation confirmation and refund are processed within 7 business days of the request.

6. Reservations via Booking, Airbnb, and other OTAs

Bookings made through external channels (Booking, Airbnb, Expedia, etc.) follow the platform's own cancellation policy and must be canceled directly there. Casamarinn has no authority to change those policies — only the OTA's terms apply.
